Senior Exercise Officers Enhance Anti-Corruption Knowledge in Specialized Training Program

Senior Superintendent exercise officers strengthened their knowledge on how their line of work interlinks with the New Anti-Corruption Act 2023 No. 09 provisions, particularly sections 36-39 regarding Prevention, on June 19, 2025, at the Exercise Department Training School in Panadaragama.

During the comprehensive session, these senior officials were made aware of critical aspects of bribery and corruption prevention. The training program was extended to cover effective procedures for asset declaration, ensuring participants gained practical understanding of compliance requirements.

The senior superintendents actively participated in discussion sessions, contributing their decades of experience to help formulate preventive strategies against corruption. This collaborative approach enhanced the learning experience and provided valuable insights for developing comprehensive anti-corruption measures.

The workshop and lecture were delivered by Corruption Prevention Officer Shilamega Welithotage from the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC), bringing expert knowledge and practical guidance to the participants.
