An anti-corruption awareness program was successfully conducted at the Department of Sri Lanka Coast Guard on May 7, 2026 at their Auditorium in Matara. This program was organized by the Department of Sri Lanka Coast Guard and Corruption Prevention Officer Mr. Sampath Arachchige of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) provided resources for this program as a part of ongoing efforts to promote transparency and integrity within public institutions.

Through this program, awareness was raised about the Anti-Corruption Act No. 09 of 2023, the new legal provisions related to bribery, corruption, efficiency, effectiveness and responsibility of the public servant, the problems they have in this regard and the session focused on educating officials and staff on the importance of preventing bribery and corruption in public service. Participants were provided with practical insights into identifying corrupt practices, understanding legal frameworks, Integrity and fostering ethical behavior in their professional duties.
