The Grama Niladhari arrested for receiving a bribe of Rs. 25,000/-

The Investigation Officers of CIABOC have arrested the Grama Niladhari of No-64 Sinhapura Grama Niladhari division under the Divisional Secretariat of
Lunugamvehera on alleged soliciting and receiving a bribe of Rs. 25,000/ on 01.2021 in accordance with a complaint lodged by a resident in Weerawila.

The Grama Niladhari has been arrested in front of the Bank of Ceylon, Lunugamvehera when soliciting and receiving a bribe of Rs.25,000/- in order to take
necessary actions to rectify the mistakenly registered name indicated on behalf of the permanent address of the complainant in the electoral register.
