Two daughters and son-in-law of former Minister Keheliya Bandara Dissanayake Rambukwella arrested

Chamithri Jayanika Rambukwella and Amali Nayanika Rambukwella - two daughters of former Minister Keheliya Bandara Dissanayake Rambukwella - and Amali Rambukwella’s husband, Isuru Pulasthi Bandara, were arrested on 19 th June 2025 by the Commission, in connection with an ongoing investigation into allegations of money laundering.

Investigations are being conducted into assets worth Rs. 134,097,731.39 (one hundred thirty-four million ninety-seven thousand seven hundred thirty-one), apartment units valued at Rs. 40,000,000/- (forty million), and a Benz car valued at Rs. 20,500,000/- (twenty million five hundred thousand). Nearly 40 fixed deposits and life insurance investment plans under this investigation have already been suspended.
