Former Health Ministry Secretary arrested over allegations of unlawful accumulation of assets

Former Secretary to the Health Ministry, Seemahewage Janaka Sri Chandraguptha, was arrested by the Commission at around 1:17 p.m. on June 26, 2025, in connection with an investigation into the unlawful accumulation of assets.

The Commission will conduct further investigations into the accumulation of assets through bribery and/or offences specified under Section 109 of the Anti-Corruption Act, read with Section 23(a) of the Bribery Act.
