A broker who accepted a bribe of Rs. 10,000/- was arrested by the Commission’s Investigation Officers during a raid conducted near the Motor Traffic Department in Narahenpita.
The broker has solicited Rs. 30,000/- to get the sub-registration certificate of a motorcycle changed to the original one through DMT officers, and the arrest was made while accepting an advance payment of Rs. 10,000/- at the handing over of documents to the broker inside a shop on Gajaba Mawatha, adjacent to DMT office on 28th July 2025.
