Prevention Workshop on Bribery and Corruption for the Training Instructors at the Police Training College - Nikaweratiya, 12.03.2022

A prevention program was held on 12-03-2022 at the Sri Lanka Police Training College, Nikaweratiya to aware 60 Police Instructors on Bribery and Corruption. Assistant Director General Mrs. Dushmanthee Rajapaksha, Corruption Prevention Officer Mr. Sanjeewa Herath, Corruption Prevention Officer Miss. N. Wimukthi Jayasooriya, Legal Assistant Mr. Charaka Wickramasinghe, Legal Assistant Mrs. Thilanka Kularathne participated as resource persons for this prevention program. Investigation Officer Mr. Pradeep Amarajeewa from Digital Forensic Unit, provided computer technical assistance to make this program a success.

A Police Constable attached to Theldeniya Division Crime Investigation Unit who solicited and accepted a bribe of Rs. 5,000/- (Five Thousand) and a Sergeant aided it were arrested on allegations of Bribery 22 August 2023
