The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption conducted investigations in relation to a complaint received regarding the solicitation of Rs. 200,000 as a bribe and accepting Rs. 150,000/- of the amount by a Principal of a reputed school in Panadura.

Following the investigations, legal proceedings against the said Principal were instituted on 28.06.2024 at the Colombo under case No. 286/2024.
