The Investigation Officers of CIABOC have arrested a Technical Officer serves at the Pradeshiya Sabha, Horawapathana on an allegation of accepting a bribe of Rs.20,000/- on 06.12.2022 in accordance with a complaint received to CIABOC.

The accused has accepted a bribe of Rs.20,000/- to grant the necessary approval of the Technical Officer to obtain the Environmental Protection Permit to a building constructing under the name of the complainant’s wife and yet again has solicited a bribe of Rs.20,000/- to fulfill the above work. The suspect was thus arrested at the Pradeshiya Sabha, Horawapathana subsequent to the acceptance of the bribe.
