Investigation Officers of CIABOC have arrested an Economic Development Officer when accepting a bribe of Rs.10,000 to expedite the payment of a construction of a cultivation well.

Initially an amount of Rs.55,000 of the total amount of Rs.170,000 has been released for the construction through a Divisional Secretariat under the government subsidies. The suspect has solicited the bribe to issue the balance payment promptly.
