A political science graduate, son in law of a Mawlawi was arrested today morning by officers of CIABOC when he was giving a bribe of Rs.250,000 to officer in charge of Horowpathana Police Station.

He allegedly gave this bribe to secure a release of his father in law who had been arrested last week by Horowpathana Police.

The Mawlawi had been arrested by allegation who is member of Thawhith Jamath Organization and his involvement with incident in Mawenella.

The Mawlawi was a teacher of Islam Thibiriththawa Muslim School and he was the Director of Refide Arabic School.
