The Investigation Officers of CIABOC have arrested a Forest Extension Officer at the Range Forest Office in Kahatagasdigeliya for receiving a bribe of Rs. 50,000/-in the above Range Forest Office on 24.02.2021 in accordance with a complaint lodged by a resident in Murutalava, Mangalagama.

The suspect was arrested when he had solicited and received a bribe of Rs. 50,000/-in order to provide the recommendation subsequent to the preparation of the Report of Timber Logs required to transport cut down logs of 08 land blocks purchased from farmers engage in Teak afforestation by the complainant.
