The Investigation Officers of CIABOC have arrested a Development Coordinating Officer at Divisional Secretariat, Hanguranketha on alleged soliciting and accepting a bribe of Rs. 4000/= on 14.02.2022 in accordance with a complaint received by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption.

The suspect was thus arrested close to the Hanguranketha Pothgul Maliga Rajamaha Viharaya when accepting the said bribe to take necessary actions to amend a business name and to provide the business registration certificate.
