A person offered Rs.7080/- bribe was arrested

A tender offered by the Central Provincial Education Office to purchase discarded books, magazines and newspapers from schools at the rate of Rs.47.50/1Kg obtained by a businessman using someone else’s name has suggested to a Principal to offer a gratification by under-calculating the actual weight of goods fraudulently and to pay the Principal Rs.20.00/1Kg for the uncalculated weight as a bribe. Accordingly, the suspect has suggested to issue receipts for under-weighed goods at the rate of Rs.47.50/1Kg and to offer the Principal Rs.20.00/1Kg for the rest of the goods as a bribe. On 01.01.2020, the businessman had arrived at the school and had weighed the goods and had paid money only for 32Kg. Then the businessman who attempted to offer a bribe of Rs.7080/- to the Principal for unweighted goods was arrested on the spot by the officers of CIABOC.
