The Investigation Officers of CIABOC have arrested a Forest Beat Officer of the Range Forest Office in Kamburupitiya  for receiving a bribe of Rs. 5,000/- on 09.04.2021 in accordance with a complaint lodged by a businessman  in Kamburupitiya.

The suspect was thus arrested when he had solicited and received a bribe of Rs. 5,000/-in order to provide the permit for timber transport  to transport jak wood which were sawn at a saw mill in Kamburupitiya for door frames and windows on behalf of a new construction of the complainant.
