The Investigation Officers of CIABOC have arrested the Acting Manager of the Passenger Transport Services Authority, Uva Province on alleged soliciting and receiving a bribe of Rs. 50,000/- on 03.05.2021 in accordance with a complaint lodged by a resident at Uva- Paranagama in Welimada.
The suspect was thus arrested when he had solicited and received a bribe of Rs.50,000/- in order to take necessary actions to obtain the permit for Sisu Seriya Passenger Transport Services for a relative brother of the complainant.
