Investigation Officers of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption arrested an SI and a Police Constable at around 1840 hours on 16.01.2024.

A person in Narammala has made a complaint stating that the Police have taken a stock of illicit liquor, “Kassippu”, into their custody after a searching his house, and the above two officers have solicited Rs. 10,000/- from him for filing the case for a reduced quantity of liquor and also for setting the background to continue the illicit business without interference.

The two suspects were arrested at the complainant’s residence on allegations of accepting a bribe.
