The Investigation Officers of CIABOC have arrested a Courts Registrar of Teldeniya District Magistrate Court for soliciting and receiving a bribe of Rs.10,000/= on 17.11.2021 in accordance with a complaint received to the Bribery Commission.

The complainant has filed a case at the above District Magistrate Court regarding a money dispute. The suspected officer was thus arrested when she has solicited and received a bribe of Rs.10,000/= from the complainant to prohibit the property of the defendants as per the judgment of the court and to auction the said property enabling him to get the required money expeditiously.
