An awareness programme was conducted on January 19 th 2024 for 57 Asst. Commissioners newly recruited to the Department of Inland Revenue. The new Anti-Corruption Act and legal provisions on bribery and corruption, integrity in the public service, responsibility and accountability expected from public officers, were covered here using case studies and practical activities. Resource contribution for the programme was provided by Mrs. Ama Wijesinghe - Asst. Director (Legal), Mrs. Udeshika Jayasekara (Prevention Officer) and Mrs. Madhuka Ruwanthi (Prevention Officer).
