Integrity Officer Training for Uva Province Completed with JURE Project Support

The 8th Integrity Officer Training programme for administrative officers in the public sector successfully concluded for Uva Province on June 11, 2024. Sponsored by the JURE project funded by the European Union and UNDP, the session brought together 100 officers appointed as Integrity and Facilitation Officers across Divisional Secretariats, Provincial, and Municipal Councils in Badulla and Monaragala Districts.

The training highlighted the practical duties of these officers as servants of the public and trustees responsible for upholding efficiency and diligence in serving taxpayers who sustain Sri Lanka's economy. Uva, the historical site of the Nation's Struggle during British rule, provided a fitting backdrop.

Notable experts including Additional Secretary Mahesh Gammanpila, Senior Lecturer Tharinadu Weerasinghe, Additional Director General Tanuja Bandara, and Prevention Officer Sampath Arachchige shared valuable insights to strengthen the public sector's integrity and stability.

Through this JURE project-supported initiative, the Uva Province's administrative officers have reinforced their commitment to good governance, integrity, and facilitation for the betterment of the nation.
