The preliminary qualification course conducted for officers who became qualified at the interview after passing the competitive examination for promotion to Class II Jailer of the Department of Prisons was held from 21.04.2024 at the Angunakolapellessa Training School. In this course, the one-day Bribery and Corruption Prevention training was scheduled for 03rd May 2024. A team comprising U. P. Wickramarachchi (IP-CIABOC), J. L. A. Udeshika Madubashini (Prevention Officer) and T. J. Abeyratne (Sergeant) provided the resource contribution. Mr. Pradeep Amarajeewa (Investigation Officer) provided the technical assistance. This one-day prevention programme covered areas such as the new Anti-Corruption Act, preventing bribery and corruption, its consequences, issues they have in that regard, and the concept of integrity.
