The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption and the University Grants Commission had a special discussion on 15th July 2024 to discuss matters on educating and empowering the university community on combatting bribery and corruption and integrity. This fruitful discussion took place at the Mini Auditorium of the Commission.
As it requires different prevention dimensions to make Sri Lanka a bribery and corruption-free nation, various strategies to transmit it to future generations through the university community were discussed in detail with special emphasis on the action that needs to be taken by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption and the University Grants Commission together.
The Chairman of the Univerisity Grants Commission-Senior Professor Sampath Amaratunge, the Deputy Secretary and several officials of UGC attended the discussion on behalf of the UGC. Mr. K. Bernard Rajapakse – Commissioner, CIABOC-, Mrs. M. Y. R. K. Udawela - Additional Director General, Mrs. Ruvini Wickramasinghe- Deputy Director General, Mrs. Ganga Heiyantuduwage - Deputy Director General, and Prevention Officers Mr. Sampath Arachchige, Mrs. Ishani Wijesuriya, Ms. Nipuni Tennakoon and Mrs. Rushanthi Dilshani were present on behalf of the Commission.
