An online training session on Bribery and Corruption was successfully conducted for estate staff and management of Kelani Valley Plantations PLC on February 11, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. The session, held at the Kelani Valley Plantations’ Conference Hall via Microsoft Teams, aimed to enhance awareness and understanding of ethical practices among estate workers.
The training was conducted by expert lecturers from the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) Corruption Prevention Officer Ms. Udeshika Jayasekara and Corruption Prevention Officer Ms. Maduka Ruwanthi. The session provided valuable insights into new anti-corruption act, ethical responsibilities, and practical steps to prevent bribery in the workplace.
Estate staff and management from 25 estates in Hatton, Nuwara eliya and Yatiyanthota areas participated in this interactive session, engaging in discussions on real-world scenarios and preventive measures against corruption. The initiative reflects a continued commitment to promoting integrity and transparency within the organization.
