The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) in collaboration with the UNDP Sri Lanka under ‘JURE’ Project, conducted a Workshop for the Prosecutors and Investigators of the CIABOC, on 2nd of September, 2023 at The Winchester, Kingsbury Hotel, Colombo comprising of three informative sessions.

First, Ms. Gayani Gunawardhana, the Secretary to the Board of Management of National Authority for the Protection of Victims of the Crime and Witnesses shared her informative and captivating insights on the ‘Victims and Witnesses Protection Laws’.

The second session was conducted by Mrs. Thamara Adhikaram, Deputy Senior Valuer of the Government Valuation Department and shared her expertise on ‘Valuation Procedure’ in light of Corruption and Assets Investigations.

Thirdly, Mr. Sumith Ratnayake, Assistant Registrar General of Companies presided a comprehensive session on ‘Company Registration and Issues related to Corruption and Assets Investigations’.

This workshop enormously contributed in intensifying the knowledge and capacity of the Prosecutors and Investigators of this Commission.
