Legal action instituted against a civilian in Awissawella

The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption instituted legal action against a civilian in Awissawella on charges of offering a bribe of Rs. 150,000.00 to a Police Officer attached to Awissawella Police Station.

Accordingly, the case was filed in the Colombo High Court on 16.07.2024 under case number HCB 290/2024.
