Two fraudulently registered vehicles taken into Bribery Commission custody on Court order

After considering the facts the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption submitted based on an information received by its Confidential and Intelligence Investigation Unit, on 06.08.2024, Colombo Chief Magistrate Thilina Gamage ordered the present owners of 07 vehicles to hand them to Bribery Commission before 13.08.2024 enabling the taking of their custody into Sri Lanka Customs.

Accordingly, the owners of a Land Cruiser and a Pajero handed over the two vehicles to the Confidential and Intelligence Investigation Unit on 12.08.2024.

The two vehicles will be produced before the Colombo Magistrate’s Court on 23.08.2024 following investigations.
