Awareness Programme on Declaration of Assets and Liabilities

The Anti-Corruption Act, No. 9 of 2023 requires several classes of officers/individuals to declare their assets and liabilities, and an awareness programme was conducted on 20th March 2023 regarding the new trends in relation to it and the assets and liabilities declaration form. The programme was held in the Commission’s auditorium.

Nearly 125 officials, representing the Presidential Secretariat, Prime Minister’s Office, Parliament of Sri Lanka, line ministries, Commissions and Offices of the Provincial Governors, attended the programme. The programme was conducted under the patronage of Hon. Justice W. M. N. P. Iddawela - Chairman of the Commission, Hon. K. B. Rajapaksha - Commissioner and Hon. R. S. A. Dissanayake- Director General of the Commission. The attendees were made aware of the regulations that have been introduced for the declaration of assets and liabilities in 2025 and of the plans for the online submission of Declarations from 2026.
