The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption conducted investigations in relation to a complaint received regarding an act of corruption committed through knowingly purchasing Greek Treasury Bills in 2012 when Greece was experiencing a severe financial crisis and thereby causing a loss of Rs. 1,843,267,595/- to the Government.
Upon concluding investigations, the Commission on 21.08.2024 filed indictments before the Colombo High Court under Case No. HCB 303/2024 against the following individuals.

- Kankanamge Gamage Don Dharmasena Deerasinghe
- Bendarage Don Wasantha Ananda Silva
- Chandrasiri Jayasinghe Panditha Siriwardena
- Harankaha Arachchilage Karunaratne
