The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has started staff-level discussions in relation to its third review on Sri Lanka and, on 19th November, the IMF representatives met with the Chairman, Commission Members and officials of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption.
The discussions at this meeting especially focused on the establishment of a Centralized System for the Declaration of Assets and Liabilities, and it also focused on matters such as developing the strategic plan, status regarding the appointment of a new Director-General, and allocation of funds to expedite the restructuring processes to put the new Anti-Corruption Act into action.
