After an open investigation, the Investigation Officers of the Commission arrested two civilians on allegations of soliciting and accepting a bribe of Rs. 505,000/- from the complainant and three other individuals, pledging to offer public sector jobs. The arrest was made in the Kuttigala Padalangala area at around 7.30 a.m. on 13th March 2025.

Following the arrest, the Officers produced the suspects before the Embilipitiya Magistrate’s Court and the first suspect was remanded until 19th March. The second suspect was released on bail on two sureties of Rs. 0.5 million.
