The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption has conducted a number of programmes for school children under the theme, “Let’s Endow a Generation Possessing High Integrity”. Moving forward, it conducted several more workshops and covered 250 students and teachers of Dharmadutha Vidyalaya, Vihara Maha Devi Balika Vidyalaya, Sujatha Maha Vidyalaya, Uva Maha Vidyalaya, Dhammananda Maha Vidyalaya, Udayaraja Maha Vidyalaya, Vishaka Balika Maha Vidyalaya and Rahula Maha Vidyalaya, Badulla, 250 students and teachers of Swarnapali Balika Maha Vidyalaya, Walisinghe Harischandra Maha Vidyalaya, Niwanthaka Chethiya Maha Vidyalaya, Mihintale Maha Vidyalaya and Thalawa Maha Vidyalaya, Anuradhapura, and 250 students and teachers of Wayamba Royal College, President Girls’ College, Kotalawala Maha Vidyalaya, Lakdas Vidyalaya nd Nissanka Maha Vidyalaya, Kurunegala.
These programmes were conducted with the objective of developing integrity and leadership qualities in children and inculcating relevant concepts within them, and covered the aspects of promoting integrity and its practical applications, leadership qualities and establishing Integrity Clubs.
Workshops were conducted on 15th, 19th and 20th December 2023 at Hotel Heritage, Badulla, Hotel CTC, Anuradhapura, and Hotel Asliya, Kurunegala, respectively and were funded by the JURE project of UNDP. Mrs. Sunethra Jayasinghe, former Deputy Director General of CIABOC provided guidance for the workshops and the resource contribution was provided by Prevention Officers, Mrs. Udeshika Jayasekara, Ms. Vimukthi Jayasuriya, Ms. Rushanthi Dilshani, Mr. Shammi Srilal and Mrs. Madhuka Ruwanthi. Prevention Officer, Mr. Pradeep Amarajeewa, provided the technical support.
