The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption conducts programmes for school children under the theme, “Let’s Endow a Generation Possessing High Integrity” and two more workshops of this programme were conducted for 100 students and teachers of Aanamaduwa Model College and Anamaduwa Central College, Puttalum and for 100 students and teachers of Royal College, Seevalia Maha Vidyalaya, Vilayaya Central College and Ananda Balika Vidyalaya, Polonnaruwa.
These programmes were conducted with the objective of developing integrity and leadership qualities in children and inculcating relevant concepts within them, and covered the aspects of promoting integrity and its practical applications, leadership qualities and establishing Integrity Clubs.
The workshop for students and teachers of Anamaduwa Model College and Anamaduwa Central College was conducted on 21st December 2023 at Golden Heaven Hotel, Mahagedara, Madampe, and the workshop for students and teachers of Royal College, Seevalia Maha Vidyalaya, Vilayaya Central College and Ananda Balika Vidyalaya, Polonnaruwa was conducted on 22nd December 2023 at Hotel Honey Tree, Polonnaruwa.
The JURE project of UNDP funded these workshops. Mrs. Sunethra Jayasinghe, former Deputy Director General of CIABOC provided guidance for the workshops and the resource contribution was provided by Prevention Officers, Mrs. Udeshika Jayasekara, Ms. Vimukthi Jayasuriya, Ms. Rushanthi Dilshani, Mr. Shammi Srilal and Mrs. Madhuka Ruwanthi. Investigation Officer, Mr. Pradeep Amarajeewa, provided the technical support.
