“The Programme to Establish Integrity Clubs in Schools” organized by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption and the United Nations Development Programme to endow a “Generation devoid of bribery and corruption” was held on 12th June 2024 at Hotel Kanvel, Monaragala.
Monaragala District Zonal Education Director and 265 students and teachers of Hambantota district representing Mahanama Vidyalaya, Rajakeeya National School, Vidyaloka Maha Vidyalaya and Hulandawa South Maha Vidyalaya attended the programme.
Programmes aimed at enhancing the integrity of children and instilling integrity concepts within them were conducted the whole day, and explained about enhancing integrity and its practical applications, the National Integrity Plan, and establishing integrity clubs. It also gave the opportunity for the children to showcase their talents to enhance integrity.
Under the guidance of Mrs. Dushmanthi Rajapakse, Assistant Director General-CIABOC, Prevention Officers Mrs. Udeshika Jayasekara and Mr. Shammi Srilal and Investigation Officer Mr. A. K. Abeykoon provided the resource contribution. Mr. Lalith Pannila, IT Assistant provided the technical assistance.
