An awareness programme on bribery and corruption was conducted for about 120 officers employed in System L of the Sri Lanka Mahaweli Authority, i.e. Weli Oya. The programme, which was conducted on 21st March 2025, ended with high success. It was held in the Mahaweli Authority auditorium in Weli Oya.
Prevention Officers of the Commission, Mrs. Udeshika Jayasekara and Mr. Shammi Srilal enlightened the participants on preventing bribery and corruption, their repercussions, the Concept of Integrity and the New Anti-Corruption Act. The resource persons also discussed the problems attendees had in that regard.
