Bribery and corruption are spreading fast in the country like a virus, and combatting the menace has become a timely need. Accordingly, the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption, in collaboration with the Water Supply and Drainage Board, arranged a series of Prevention Programmes to create a country devoid of bribery and corruption, and one programme of the series was conducted on 27 th February 2025 at the Water Supply and Drainage Board premises, Kadawatha.
This programme was intended for the Executives of the Water Supply and Drainage Board, and Prevention Officers of the Commission, Miss. Nipuni Thennakoon and Mrs. Eranga Madhushi Kumari, delivered lectures to the attendees on the Anti-Corruption Act, No. 9 of 2023, preventing bribery and corruption, repercussions of bribery and corruption and integrity.
