The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption, on 13.09.2024, took action under Section 53(1) of the Anti-Corruption Act, No. 09 of 2023, to freeze two apartment units of a luxury condominium at Dharmapala Mawatha, Colombo 07, which are in a former Health Minister’s son’s name, for 07 days. The freezing of property was done in relation to an ongoing investigation against the former Minister.

Colombo High Court Judge Manjula Tilakeratne, having considered the facts submitted by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption, ordered on 19.09.2024 to extend the said freezing order for another 03 months.
