A Workshop on Preventing Bribery and Corruption was conducted on 09.06.2023 for officers of Soltrim International (Pvt) Ltd. Mrs. Anuththara Jayasinghe, Asst. Director General of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption and Mrs. J. L. A. Udeshika Madhubashini - Prevention Officer, provided the resource contribution. The workshop was arranged on a request made by SolTrim International and it is the first request this Commission received from the private sector.
Prevention Officers of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption provided resource contribution for the programme on Gender Mainstreaming and Woman’s Rights Within the Family conducted to mark International Women’s Day that fell on 08.03.2023. The programme was conducted on 10.03.2023 in the Navamedagama Divisional Office auditorium and covered the villages, Navamedagama, Diyaviddagama and Henanigala. Prevention Officers of the Commission to Investigate Allegtions of Bribery or Corruption, Ms. Nipuni Koshila Thennakoon and Mrs. W. A. I. C. Wijesuriya represented the Commission and explained the role of women in eliminating bribery and corruption from the country.
A Corruption Prevention Programme was conducted on 16.03.2023 for 47 Police Constables promoted to the rank of Police Sergeant at Kallady Police Training College. Chief Inspector of Police, Mr. G. Abesinghe, Prevention Officers, Ms. N. Wimukthi Jayasooriya and Mr. Sampath Arachchige provided the resource contribution for the programme.
The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption conducts Corruption Prevention Programmes to eliminate bribery and corruption in the country through minimizing malpractices in government offices. Accordingly, it was planned to conduct a series of Corruption Prevention Programmes in the Kandy District and one programme of the series was conducted at the Udunuwara Divisional Secretariat on 25.05.2023. Around 350 officers attended the programme and the session continued for about 3 ½ hours. Prevention Officers, Ms. N. Wimukthi Jayasooriya, Ms. Nipuni Thennakoon and Mr. Shilamegha Welithotage provided the resource contribution.
The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption conducts Corruption Prevention Programmes to eliminate bribery and corruption in the country through minimizing malpractices in public institutions. Accordingly, it was planned to conduct a series of Corruption Prevention Programmes for the CEB and the first programme of the series was conducted at the Piliyandala Ceylon Electricity Board Training Center on 18.05.2023. Around 67 officers attended the programme. Prevention Officers, Ms. N. Wimukthi Jayasooriya, Mr. Sampath Arachchige, Mrs. Dilrukshi Chandrasekara and Mrs. Madhuka Ruwanthi provided the resource contribution.

Accordingly, it was planned to conduct a series of Corruption Prevention Programmes in the Kandy District and one programme of the series was conducted at the Pathadumbara Divisional Secretariat on 18.04.2023. Around 310 officers attended the programme and the session continued for about 3 ½ hours. Prevention Officers, Ms. N. Wimukthi Jayasooriya, Mrs. Udeshika Jayasekara and Mrs. Dilrukshi Chandrasekara provided the resource contribution.
The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption conducts Corruption Prevention Programmes to eliminate bribery and corruption in the country through minimizing malpractices in government offices. Accordingly, it was planned to conduct a series of Corruption Prevention Programmes in the Kandy District and one programme of the series was conducted at the Poojapitiya Divisional Secretariat on 10.04.2023. Around 250 officers attended the programme and the session continued for about 3 ½ hours. Prevention Officers, Ms. N. Wimukthi Jayasooriya, Mrs. Shanika Heyiyanthuduwage and Mrs. Chamodi Jaysinghe and Mr. Shammi Sri Lal provided the resource contribution.
A two-day Leadership Training programme was conducted on 31-03-2023 and 01-04-2023 in the Servatius College main Auditorium to raise awareness of 130 school Prefects on ‘Bribery and Corruption’. The programme was conducted under the supervision of Mrs. Sunethra Jayasinghe, Deputy Director General of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption, and the resource contribution was provided by Mrs. Dushmanthi Rajapaksa (Assistant Director General), Ms. Thanuja Bandara (Assistant Director General), Mr. Gayan Maduwage (Assistant Director (Legal), Ms. N. Wimukthi Jayasooriya (Corruption Prevention Officer ), Mr. Shammi Srilal (Corruption Prevention Officer ) and Mrs. Udeshika Jayasekara (Corruption Prevention Officer ). Mr. P. D. Pradeep Amarajeewa, Investigation Officer-Digital Forensic Unit, provided the computer technical assistance to make the program a success.
The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption, with the support of the United Nations Development Fund (UNDP) conducted a residential training for the capacity building of Prevention Officers of the Commission. The training programme was conducted from 16 th to 18 th June at Tangerine Beach Hotel, Kalutara.
A Corruption Prevention Programme was conducted on 22 nd March 2023 for about 230 Police Constables promoted to the rank of Police Sergeant at Mahiyanganaya Police Training College, and Prevention Officers, Ms. N. Wimukthi Jayasooriya, Mr. Sampath Arachchige and Inspector of Police, Mr. W. Thennakoon of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption provided the resource contribution for the programme.
