A case study test on investigations for the recruitment to the post of Investigation Officer is scheduled to be held on 4th of July 2019 from 9.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. at the Faculty of Post Graduate Studies, Munidasa Kumarathunga Mawatha, Colombo 03 of the University of Colombo in respect of the applicants qualified as per the results of the examination held on 27th October 2018 to recruit suitable persons to the post of Investigation Officer of CIABOC.

Mr. Sarath Jayamanne PC, Director General of CIABOC represented Sri Lanka at the OGP Global Summit hosted by the Canadian Government in Ottawa, Canada from 29-31 May 2019 as a member of the Sri Lanka delegation. He was invited to participate by the Hon. Secretary to His Excellency the President in recognition of the anti-corruption efforts of CIABOC, especially in honouring the commitments undertaken by the Government of Sri Lanka to establish open governance.

The Director General of CIABOC Mr. Sarath Jayamanne, President's Counsel has been promoted to the rank of Senior Additional Solicitor General from 10th May 2019. Early he was holding the position of Additional Solicitor General of Attorney Generals’ Department. However, Mr. Jayamanne will continue as the Director General of CIABOC.
CIABOC has been closed. It is only the main entrance has been closed due to renovation. However side entrance has been opened for general public.

In addition at present, on a mandate given by the Cabinet of Ministers CIABOC with the assistance of the Legal Draftsman, is in the process of drafting a new asset declaration law. Moreover, CIABOC plans to have digital asset declaration system (electronic asset declaration form).so the public servants would be able to conveniently submit their asset declaration form.
The Director General of CIABOC Mr. Sarath Jayamanne, Presidents’ Counsel will take part of the summit along with the government delegations.
Under the OGP they are insist to vital obligation CIABOC has to fulfill. Those are to implement effective prevention programs to enhance Asset Declaration Regime in Sri Lanka.
